Expansive, high-yielding, robust plants that produce many fruits that ripen from green to purple.
Tomatillos grow up to 1.50 m high and thrive easily outdoors in our area. The fruits can be harvested continuously, taste sweet and sour and cause the lampion-shaped pods to burst as they ripen. If planted in mid-May, they can be harvested as early as mid-July. The ripe tomatillos fall off by themselves and can be kept for a long time with the husk even after that. The fruits are completely purple and can be prepared raw or as a sauce (salsa).
